You're welcome ! From where I live (In France), they are re-editing all his novels, regrouped by thema or hero (Solomon Kane, Bran Mak Morn, Kull, Conan, El Borak, etc.). And there's a book which regrouped all of his crusades stories ! (And even the unfinished) It's called "Le Seigneur de Samarcande" ("The Lord of Samarcand").
Every few years they republish Howard's work, reorganizing the stories and sometimes getting a great artist to illustrate it. I still have a copy of a seventies paperback of Howard's filled with illustrations by Roy Krenkel who had a great influence on me.
great stuff. Thanks for the help, I was telling a friend the other day that the Red Sonja of the comics was a purely Marvel creation, that Howard only had a minor supporting character of that name in one of his pulp short stories, but I couldn't remember the title for the life of me.
Glad to be of help. Marvel veered quite a lot from the original Sonja who was a much more robust character. They borrowed liberally from a variety of Howard short stories to flesh out the early Conan and Sonja comics. His shorts were really great reads with lots of visual appeal.
