Mithrandir and Imrahil kindling the fires of hope by AbePapakhian Mithrandir and Imrahil kindling the fires of hope by AbePapakhian
Pencil illustration approx. 18x24.

A scene from the siege of Minas Tirith. Another opportunity to flesh out Gandalf/Mithrandir, as well as Prince Imrahil who is rarely depicted.

Most excellent as ever Master Papakhian! (would I be correct in presuming that Prince Imrahil is patting some backs as he passes by? otherwise I must list the peculiar absence of his right arm below the shoulder as the only quibble I can cite against this fine image).:) (Smile)

Yeah for Imrahil!! :w00t:
I can't remember seeing him around here, even though he seems to be a very popular character with the fans (at least as far as I am concerned ;-))

He's one of those characters that gets glossed over a lot to reduce the cast of characters, which is one of the reasons I loved the books to begin with.
