It was a small city. Not only a fortified castle, but a community. This was Isildur's home, even though it was corrupted. I found the film version way too demonic.

Wow! I can't believe how detailed is it and I like the idea of Minas Ithil before it became Minas Morgul. It must have been so magnificent.. :')

I've been trying to add more to encompass the entire but I haven't been able to. Still a work in progress. You know these cities started off as the home away from home for Anarion and Isildur. So there needed to be a sense of Numenorean beauty to them before they evolved into fortresses and cities. Still, a nice exercise.

I almost can't imagine how long this must've taken, with the painstaking detail. Lovely, lovely, lovely! Very elegant and admirable, as I can't draw architecture myself! Minas Ithil must've been a beautiful sight before it was darkened.
