Lords of the Rings

A lot of great stuff going on here! The poses of the two lords to either side, and the battle in the middle are fluid and natural, and no detail has been spared where it comes to cloth and armor, even the texture in the distant landscapes below. The rings in the above panel aren't just carbon copies, they're each their own individual pieces, and they have a nice spilling feel. My favorite part though, is undoubtedly the architectural detail and lighting in the bottom center panel. It could probably hold on an illustration all its own, without the rest of the image. Unfortunately, the icons above the two lords are a little weak. They just don't have the finished feeling that the rest of the piece does. The faces too, feel somehow not quite all there, and if it weren't for the hair and armor detailing, I don't know that I would assume the blonde to the left is the same as the one locked in combat in the center panel; he looks much older and the features don't quite sync up. All in all though, an excellent piece as it is, or broken up into pieces.
