so the guy on the left is elrond the twins are elronds sons the woman is arwen the guy on the right is aragorn and is the blond guy the rider elrond sent to find aragorn and the hobbits (his name escapes me)
Looks great! I especially like the architecture, but also the clothes. The brothers look very natural, but IMHO Glorfindel needs some tuning. I'm nagging again about the way he has his scabbard - it would slap against his legs on every step and could prevent extending the leg to normal walking style. He's jackets buckles or whatever they are, look a bit funny. It looks as if the cloth had been streched there. Otherwise the clothes look very good and elven. I love the high collars on Elrond and especially on Glorfindel. And one more thing: Arwen's eyes should prolly be more evenly sized, since now the more distant one is larger.
You know these scenes I do with the main characters are simply a means to give them form and substance, so I'm not really focused on minor details. Actually, when I do a final piece, I think the swords will disappear. They would be out of place in Rivendell. They would be more like something you would leave at the door so you don't bring violence in with you. You're right about Arwen, not very satisfied with her here. Just not beautiful enough.
Yeah, I agree; there is something about them that makes them very interesting. If you think about it, Glorfindel is the only person to have ever returned from the Hall of Mandos to Middle Earth and the twins with the loss of their mother and their quest for revenge would make for a very tragic story arc. But above all, they're all great warriors, with years of experience- especially Glorfindel who has fought both in Gondolin and under Elrond's banner.I wish they had more involvement in the main story.
